WE THE PEOPLE… WHAT *YOU* PERSONALLY CAN DO TO HELP STOP COVID-19

It is pretty safe to say at this time that many governments around the world are not doing enough, fast enough, to contain COVID-19 from spreading.

We are not seeing even close to the amount of lock down that China implemented to stop the spread in its country. Many locations lack testing and panic is happening because people are scared and getting conflicting information from their government. That is why they are buying toilet paper, it is a small comfort that most people *feel in control of*. Only 100+ year olds alive today may remember how the world dealt with a major virus outbreak last time. People are in denial. People are confused. People are scared.

We as people, need to work together to make sure CORRECT information is being spread that can be used today, right now, without the government red tape. This is what social media was designed for my friends. Breathe, Don’t Panic, Educate yourself. We got this.

DO YOU HAVE A CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 INFECTION?

we the people what you personally can do to help stop covid 19 covid 19 symptoms v2Testing is lacking so this is what *we* can do as society. Anyone can recognize these symptoms and share this information.

If you have :
a fever
dry cough / shortness of breath
perhaps muscle aches
perhaps fatigue

You should be *self isolating immediately* and those around you should be too. Put on a mask if you have one and do you best to stay alone. These BY FAR are the most prominent symptoms of COVID-19. As in like 80+% of people have these symptoms. Pretty much everyone has had a fever.

If you have:
Runny nose
Sore throat
Sinus pressure

You probably DON’T have COVID-19. Everyone does handle this virus a bit differently but if you do not have a fever and dry cough, you likely do not have COVID-19.
Regardless, if you are showing *any* of the typical flu like symptoms STAY HOME. We need to stop the spread of regular cold and flu JUST AS MUCH right now.

IF I HAVE SYMPTOMS HOW LONG AM I INFECTIOUS?

The latest information is telling us that COVID-19 is contagious a few days before symptoms start. It is very contagious for the first few days a person shows symptoms and up to 5-10 days after the symptoms start. THATS A HUGE PERIOD OF POSSIBLE INFECTION. This is why it is spreading so rapidly.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE *ANY* FLU/COLD SYMPTOMS BUT ESPECIALLY COVID-19 ONES

we the people what you personally can do to help stop covid 19 111241949 womanlookingoutofwindowgettyYou need to :
1) Stay home immediately in ISOLATION (not around other people)
2) All your friends and family who have been in contact WITH YOU by the time you are showing these symptoms, need to STAY HOME TOO. Family, co-workers, people at the gym. For 10-14 days.

By the time you are showing symptoms, *you already were able to spread the virus*. This is very important. We need to be doing more to contain the people who have the virus as best we can(self-isolate) AND those who were in possible contact with an infected person(self-quarantine).

This needs to happen NOW.

Not next week when you hear it officially from the government. Giving up and saying “the virus is already everywhere who cares” is REALLY dangerous. We must do what China did and have strict quarantine to stop the spread of this as best we can. Countless lives depend on it.

If you are healthy and able to; stay home now.  No gym, No drinks with friends, Zero travel. Please, stay home. If you are sick in anyway, you and those around you *NEED* to stay home. I can’t stress this enough. Please spread this information to any you care about.

Stay safe my friends. I love you all.
