Evolve Game – 6 Strategies To Win

So you want to find out more about the latest Evolve game from Turtle Rock and 2k studios? Perhaps your having some trouble getting the idea down or you are looking for an Evolve Game Review… Here are my thoughts and top tips on playing The 4vs1 Evolve game for the last few weeks to help you win.

1) DOWNLOAD EVOLVE HUNTER QUEST THE MOBILE APP TO LEVEL UP FASTER IN THE MAIN EVOLVE GAME.

At some point you will have to be away from your Gaming station… and Evolve Hunter Quest is a perfect time filler while waiting for the bus or standing in line. Its a match three puzzle game with Role Playing  Game elements. Kinda like candy crush, but all in the theme of Evolve. Link this account up to your 2k account and from the home screen click on Connect To Evolve. User the mastery points to get Evolve real In game level ups and extra badges. They really make Leveling Up  your characters about 50% easier.

2) TURN ON THE OVERHEAD MAP AND KEEP IT ON.

When just starting out and learning the maps can be a bit tricky. You also want to see where your teammates are and where any notifications pop up. Keep this map open the whole time to help you track, kill, or avoid better. Turn it off in the dome, when rescuing or healing people,  or when close to the monster so you can see the damage being done. I wish both of these showed while the map was up. or a smaller version of the map was visible at all times, but for now you must flip between the two.

3) USE A MICROPHONE.

I am truly shocked at the amount of people who are using the “notify” marker to attempt to communicate with others. Every single person got a microphone with their Xbox one or PS4. If you are a PC gamer you have one too, don’t pretend you don’t. Much like Left 4 Dead, the last game from this team… you really need to work AS A TEAM.  This means communicating with others, letting them know you are down, talking about what is happening and working together with the strengths of your Evolve roles. Voice is the only way that is going to happen effectively. Your voice doesn’t sound weird, so dig it out and start talking!

4) PLAY SOLO MISSIONS TO START

Yeah Evolve is an awesome multiplayer game. But you need to have a basic understanding of all the characters including playing as the monster and winning a few times to truly understand how it all comes together. If you’ve never won as the monster, you’re probably not going to get that taking out the medic and support roles first is a typical strategy. It becomes clear because when you play as a monster with a decent media and support person, you knock someone down and medic or support will get them back up. So you quickly learn to focus on them first. In my opinion, if your medic is down, your team is in big trouble. Medic should be holding back and healing, support should do EVERYTHING to shield that medic if being attacked. If you lose your medic and support, you have a handful of hits before your team is wiped out. Keep them alive.

5) LEARN YOUR ROLE IN EVOLVE.

Although still a new game, I find many people are treating this as a rambo type shoot em up regardless of what role they are in. Every character has a ‘damage’ weapon, yeah. But if you as a medic, are attacking the monster while people are down … You need to go back to playing solo a bit more.

6) SPLIT UP TO HUNT.

Not by yourself mind you. You need to use that microphone and split up so you can help trap the monster. Cut him off in different directions. If your whole team is running around following the tracks expect to spend up to 20 minutes on a hunt level and to likely loose quickly. The monster has faster movements than hunters typically and will be able to eat up, evolve up and out run you most times. You must work as a team to split up and stop him.

7) ENOUGH WITH THE DLC TALK.

This was a marketing disaster for a really good game. Yeah there is $100+ DLC available for Evolve Game at launch… but its cosmetic. Skins. Change the color of your gun or the marks on the monster. The game play is not effected in any way. 0. Zip. There will be additional hunters and monsters available for optional buy, but again…. 1) They are not currently available. 2) You don’t need them to play now or in the future at all in any way. Plus… you dont have to buy all of them. If you only like support roles, you will have the COMPLETELY OPTIONAL option to only buy the new support hunter. Maps and modes will be released for free is the current understanding. There will be zero splitting of the community. I see zero reason to talk about DLC rip offs ever again. Good? Good.
