+National Geographic and a team of engineers and scientist put together a real life house that floated into the sky with only balloons!
The building flew to an altitude of over 10,000 feet and for over an hour.

I used to work with the guy who flew this thing (Jonathan Trappe). He sat on an office chair and flew it with these balloons from one state to another. He still keeps that office chair at his desk.

So some of you are actually complaining of the company wasting money…. did you not see the pictures? It's freaking small and no interior structure. Hell they didnt even paint it, they put colored paper up instead. You could probably build it for couple grand. The amount they get back from airing it on tv would well out weigh the cost of construction. Just think before you type thats all.

Impossible with real house. It had to be made of paper or balsa wood. They built a small one in Utah of standard material and it never left the ground with jumbo latex balloons. Great picture!
