Wow, this is actually pretty deep. On the one hand iOS is often behind the times, without some of the newest features its competitors enjoy, and as a user you're powerless to change it, whereas Android gives you the tools to customize it to your heart's content. But on the other hand, is a constantly changing platform better, or simply unfinished? The image of the apple with the missing bite patched in asks us to contemplate wether the short term strategy of simply filling in every perceived inadequacy is really a substitute for careful, measured changes. The android is presumably proud of its work, and yet something in its lifeless stare seems to convey just a trace,… of doubt.

I hated my iPhone enough to actually put a bullet through it. I wouldn't waste the lead on my Galaxy Nexus. Android has held persistent bugs since 2.1, and introduced new ones with every iteration of ICS, that nobody is even remotely interested in fixing. The open ecosystem is a breeding ground for malware and vastly substandard development. I'll never own another Apple product as long as I breathe air on this earth, but I won't sing the praises of an inferior platform either.
Neither is capable of fixing the other.

iOS is a really good platform. I don't think any android user could argue that, although quite a few would want to. I like android because of the freedom it gives the user, as well as showing the user a bit of respect. Android has it quirks and problems. It can be buggy. The difference is that anyone who knows how can fix it and share that fix freely. Anyone who wants to can create and share apps and roms without fear of being prosecuted for violating software rights.
I don't dislike apple products. They are very well made as is their software. I don't use them because of the attitude behind their way of doing business. The consumer will shut up and pay way too much for what apple gives them and wait patiently in the meantime. Screw that.
