remarkable : worthy of being or likely to be noticed especially as being uncommon or extraordinary. — I find this whole image and statement strange. Why do we need other people to notice us to feel like we matter? I mean it is nice to have people notice us but I think so many people are driven down by trying to live up to other's expectations. Yet from the photo it seems like we are encouraged to get out and see the beauty of nature and experience remarkable things – this is really different from trying to do something remarkable every day. Anyway my 2 cents…

Is not life just remarkable in itself even without having to extend oneself, or fine to take delight in other people's remarkable's ? Does being born count as remarkable ? I use to fly airplanes, but things are pretty dull now, so do I need another remarkable, or can I just delight in past remarkable's ? I find this post remarkable !

I disagree. I think being alive is all about how you choose to live your life. Do what ever makes you happy. Who cares what other people think is remarkable.

Re-posting my response since it's buried in the 1900+ responses: I understand what people are trying to say here but it's very Western-oriented in its thinking and it presupposes that the "alive being" (presumably a human) isn't locked in a constant struggle to simply survive (like being in a war zone or a zone of famine or some other disaster-filled location). Unless the creator of this would consider that to be remarkable (simple, basic survival). Otherwise, it's rather insulting to those among us (our fellow Earthlings) who are less fortunate than we (are and not able to sit around musing about postings on Google+). Does this make sense?
