+Amanda Blain it was in my plans but after one of my restaurant almost cut on fire and also working on a big project, I think is going to be really hard for me!
I miss TexMex, and some of my favorite Texans… I'm considering it, but since I have no reason to attend the actual conference (unless Google wants me to give a talk and pay my way), not sure I want to deal with the maddening logistics that is SXSW.
If I do it will be for one night. I have to work and kind of pricey for one of the larger packages.

I got my flight booked and my pass. Can't find a place to stay yet. The Hilton wanted $859 a night. They must be on crack!

I booked through the SXSW Registration process & it wasn't too bad. i'm not staying right in downtown, but across the river. Was in the 250/night area. If you're not booking through the process, though, yea, it's going to be nearly impossible to find a place to crash for anything decent.

Yep…Going just for the experience and to reminisce about the first few years of SXSW I enjoyed way back in college. Back then it was 5 venues on South Congress and 6th street and maybe 20 bands. An all access wristband to bar hop costs about $10.
